About the Foundation
The World Dance Foundation is the authoritative digital ecosystem for the global dance community — starting with ballroom, and built to grow into every style.

Our mission
Dance is one of the most universal forms of human expression, yet the people who give their lives to it — dancers, teachers, judges, studios, and the businesses around them — have never had a single, trustworthy home online. Our mission is to build that home: an open, welcoming platform that helps people discover dance, connect with one another, compete fairly, grow their craft, and celebrate the work that moves the community forward.
What we’re building
We’re assembling the tools the dance world has been missing into one connected ecosystem, organized around four things every dancer does. Tap a pillar to explore what the platform actually does:
Find events, studios, vendors, and people across the global scene — on one map, one calendar, one search.
Explore studios →Follow dancers, message directly, and build your network — with contact details protected in-platform.
See the network →Every sanctioned competition, result, and ranking in one place, color-coded by federation.
Open the calendar →Plain-language guides, education, and the tools to improve your craft — wherever you start.
Visit the learning hub →How it works
The platform is free to join. Dancers create a profile, follow others, and share their work on the Showcase. Studios, vendors, wellness practitioners, and event organizers claim or create listings to reach the community. Everything is searchable, and sensitive contact details stay protected through in-platform messaging. We’re launching with ballroom — Latin, Standard, Smooth, and Rhythm — and expanding from there.
A nonprofit, by design
The World Dance Foundation is operated by World Dancing Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation organized in Delaware (doing business as the World Dance Foundation). We exist to serve the dance community, not shareholders. Revenue from optional features and the generosity of donors goes back into building tools, supporting access through scholarships, and keeping the core platform open to everyone.
