Our mission
World Dance Foundation exists to make competitive and social dance accessible to everyone, and to preserve the record of the sport for the people who made it. We keep a free public archive of competition results, maintain a worldwide directory of studios and events, and fund dancers who could not otherwise take part.
Our programs
- The public competition archive
- A free, permanent and searchable record of competitive dance results, covering more than 100,000 dancers across national and international sanctioning bodies. Free to search, with no account required.
- The global studio and event directory
- A directory of 1,280 dance studios across 69 countries and a calendar of sanctioned competitions, so a dancer anywhere can find a place to train and an event to enter.
- Scholarships for young dancers
- Grants covering lessons, competition entries and seasons for dancers whose families cannot meet the cost. Applications are scored against a published rubric, and every applicant receives an answer.
- The Dancer Relief Fund
- Board-directed grants to dancers facing career-threatening medical hardship.
- Dance Without Limits
- Funding, curricula and training for instructors teaching adaptive dance to children with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities.
